BEAD Challenge Process 

**Please note: The Rebuttal Phase of the DC BEAD Challenge successfully ended on 11/7/24.  However, there are some MDU Area Challenges that will continue and end on 11/18/24, and will mark the full completion of DC’s BEAD Challenge Process.  Final Determinations will be made by 11/27/24.

Notice of RFI

Attn: The District of Columbia's Office of the Chief Technology Officer ("OCTO") is requesting information in conjunction with DC Government's Ward 5 middle mile fiber project for companies ("Contractor") who could perform an on-personnel services contract. The Ward 5 middle mile fiber project is being constructed using grant funds from the U.S. Treasury's Capital Projects Fund ("CPF"). CLICK ON THE LINKS TO VIEW THE RFI AND MAP.

Community Internet Program

The Community Internet Program (CIP) allows any Internet Service Provider (ISP) free access to the roofs of DC-owned buildings, operated by the Department of General Services, to install service antennas if they commit to providing resident connectivity with high-speed connections (200 Mbps up/200 Mbps down or higher) at reduced or no cost to households eligible for the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).
